It would be horribly unfair to even ask who pulls this hairstyle better, Drew Barrymore or Jessica Simpson. Poor Jess doesn't have a chance, especially with this dress (and I'm not sure bright orange is her best color). But it's worth taking a moment to look at the pictures, even if only to note that both Drew and Jessica sported this (more labor-intensive version of) milkmaid braids (and Drew looks lovely).
This style is utterly not my thing, but I always envied the girls who could pull it off. However, that was in junior high. I'm not sure how I feel about it nowadays.

ReplyDeleteI totally dig the braids and would love to rock them. However, my hair-doing skill begin and end with ponytails. I'm inept at hair! Luckily I have other useful skills, such as: I'm ambidextrous with a nail polish brush.

ReplyDeleteGretchen, that's a great skill to have. I had to teach myself and practice a lot until I became adequate at applying polish with my left hand. It was actually a good fine motorics therapy experience, so I can't complain.
