Remember this?
It seemed that the consensus was that Eva should have known better than go out like this. But celebrity makeup artist Julie Hewett is actually proud of this look and sent an email newsletter/press release with information on how to recreate Eva's makeup with her products.
Now, don't get me wrong- I usually like Julie Hewett's work and makeup. The red lipsticks are beautiful and her cream shadow/eye liner in Newsprint Bleu is a staple in my makeup wardrobe. But I'll be staying far far away from Silverlake eye shadow (there's also Dovima under the brow bone, which is actually a great highlighter, but the evil Silverlake seems to have eaten it alive).
Now we know.

It bothers me that people keep picking on this picture of poor Eva - she is human and gets the occasional bump on her chin too. And to boot there is nothing wrong with her makeup.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, everything she is wearing is applied quite well - especially the eyes!
I've got to agree with you, Non! I really dislike this makeup look. I am a huge fan of Julie Hewett's, by the way. But I think she does the clean eye/rich lip look best. And if you haven't seen it, take a look at Natasha McElhone's makeup in the movie "Solaris". It is amazingly lovely and done by Julie.
