Kat Von D, A Style Icon

This glamorous embodiment of class and good taste is Kat Von D. One can go to Sephora to buy her makeup line and perfumes.

I wish I were kidding.

  1. Oh no, she is starting to look like that tattooed woman Jesse James hooked up with! Stay classy, Kat!

(Pretty sure I don't want to smell like her either!)

  3. I love your blog, I read every post...but this is more than a little rude. We can't all look alike, even an army of Coco Channel's or Audrey's would be unpleasant! I love Kat and her Sephora line...I also collect tattoos with no intention of stopping. I realize to some that this seems 'trashy' or 'tasteless'...I guess, like many art forms, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let's try not to bash other strong women, it reeks of snobby, elitist behavior.

  4. I tend to agree with mansruin. Although my style is very much Audrey-esque and I don't have any tattoos, I can appreciate the style of other women.

You seem to judge harshly women who aren't like yourself.

  5. Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion and this is your blog. Kat looks very tacky here, IMO. I like tatoos & I usually love red hair - but this look isn't working for me. Kat looks much better with her beautiful dark hair. I don't expect or want her to look like Audrey Hepburn, but this style is not her best.

  6. I don't think class and good taste is defined by having a cosmetic line at sephora and how one presents their dress. I think class is how you treat others and good taste is an subjective notion.

Look at Ms Martha Stewart. She has "good taste" but is known to treat others poorly, which is not a demonstration of class in my books.

"Chacon son gout" as the french say.

  7. It's not the tattoos. It's the entire look. It doesn't say anything original or interesting. And it doesn't flatter her. But she has every right to wear it and bloggers have every right to criticize it.

  8. This isn't the best image of her. She's an artist and most artists like being a little eccentric. Some of her tattoo work is very beautiful and original not hack tracing jobs. I also think she looked much nicer before dying and re-dying her hair. She's starting to look like she's trying way too hard to be rock and roll. In older photos it's obvious she has her own unique style.
That being said her makeup line is widely known to be just rebranded and repackaged low quality Sephora brand makeup.

  11. I know this comment is late (I just saw this post), but I did want to say: I love Kat Von D's perfumes! I like Saint a lot because I love vanillas. Sinner is OK, strangely it's the ONE pefume out of the goodness knows how many I've tried that he's stopped me and said "wow, you smell good, what perfume is that?!" I agree I don't like her look/taste, I like classic Grace Kelly and like y'all said Audrey Hepburn taste, but if she wants to be different and that makes her happy it's Ok.

  12. Best blog post EVER.

I still can't believe Sephora has dumped high-quality makeup brands to make room for this trash.

  13. wow everyone is being so harsh. i think kat looks beauftiful no matter what she is wearing or what her hair looks like. This is the reason why girls starve themselves these days and everything else because selfish unappreciative snobby girls out there criticize everyone if they are beautiful in their own way and if they dont meet the high standards of something fake.

  14. No matter how she looks (and I don't care for her look a bit, although I think she's be very pretty without the tats and dyed hair), she is ugly to me because she is an anti-Semite. Frankly, I'm surprised to see her photo still on this blog since her actions came to light. She, of course, has denied it, but I'm not buying it.

She and Jesse James deserve each other.
