Leighton Meester For Harry Winston

It took me a while to figure out why I'm not completely sold on Leighton Meester's look, and it's not the black lace Marchesa jumpsuit(!). I get what she was going for and there is something ethereal about the pale face and delicate hairstyle. But the frosted finish of her lipstick is killing the vibe. It's just off.

  1. I agree so much, Gaia! When I clicked on the picture, the cheap shade of the lipstick revealed itself. If she'd use Exquisite Plum of YSL or Ballet Rousse By Chanel it would cause an improvement.

  2. Apart from that, it seems that she doesn't wear any underwear, am I wrong? In general, the whole look is pretty tasteless.lod

  3. I rarely like extremely purple toned l/s, but there's something really compelling about that lip color on her. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I like it!

Not sure I like the tucked hair, and I'm still trying to figure out the jumpsuit, but overall I think she looks gorgeous.

  4. Yes, I agree. However, when is frosted lipstick not tacky?

  5. Must say that I find the lipstick color very attractive. It is so refreshing to see a face that doesn't have "smokey eyes" and heavy mascara. The makeup is beautiful.

  7. it's too blue. it's hard for anyone to look good in that color.

there's a body suit under there, me thinks... she's not that crude. i kinda like the outfit, actually.

and, even though she has wicked puffs under eyes, she's still awfully cute.

  8. I'm afraid that the extreme puffiness below her eyes, in combination with the lipstick which leaches the color out of her face, makes her look like she's been very ill recently. As for the jumpsuit, I guess in her haste to leave her sick bed she forgot to finish getting dressed. This could have been a striking homage to Camille, but missed the mark by veering off into tacky land.
