The 25th Anniversary Genesis Awards was hosted by the Humane Societ (hence the pooch). I like Kristin Davis a lot; I'm also a firm believer in dressing your shape and personality a lot more than your age. Still, there's something about Kristin's Oscar de la Renta's pink dress that makes me feel Elle Fanning could wear it just as well.

ReplyDeleteYikes, that bow, OH! Quick-Fix: Take the bow off and use it to tie her hair into a loose low pony with a few loose wavy strands. Playfullness of pink dress might meet non-tween effervescent Kristen in the middle. Strappy black shoes - nix! :)

ReplyDeleteI love Kristin Davis, and think she's so pretty. While I think this look isn't her best, I'm glad she's being honored for her work on behalf of animals. I heard she recently helped rescue a baby elephant while on safari. That raises her stock in my book!

I have never liked how Kristin Davis seems to gravitate towards mid-calf length everything. I don't think this length is flattering on anyone other than stick figures. It's very awkward. I have pretty thing/proportionate calves and I'm 5 foot ten, don't have cankles...and yet I think mid-calf dresses and skirts make me look like I have tree stumps for legs. I wish she'd just shorten everything by 3 inches (below knee) or go long.

I really don't like this dress, at all. Yeuch!
