Since we all need a palate cleanser after the last post (or yesterday's), here is some happy summer fashion, with some of the more likable celebrities and pretty bold colors. Above we have Liv Tyler in Proenza Schouler at the CFDA Awards. Definitely my favorite dress of the night and I was glad she didn't opt for some messy Stella McCartney thing.
Lovely Emma Roberts at the screening of The Art Of Getting By wearing a green dress and violet shoes. She looks fresh and appropriate. Imagine that!
Jessica Alba proves you can't go wrong with DVF, even if you're very very pregnant.
A couple of nights ago, Emma Watson changed into her second Marchesa dress for the MTV Movie Award after party. I love the bold color combination of lipstick and gown. She's young, gorgeous and can pull off just about anything.
And last, from last week, Miranda Kerr in Dior:

Liv looks fabulous, I love that dress. Emma Watson seems to be having quite a moment. She looks so effortlessly chic in that photo. Poor Jessica, she looks great but it's hard work getting dressed up when heavily pregnant!
ReplyDeleteI thought Lady Gaga's make-up and hair was amazing. The Olsen twins also had a great ensemble. I don't think that picture does their outfits justice. Ymmv after all.
ReplyDeleteAlso, keep on with the makeup brush posts. You do wonderful brush reviews.
I am crazy for Miranda's orange dress!
ReplyDeleteLiv and Emma look to die for! Very inspirational!
ReplyDeleteEmma Watson looks SO gorgeous in that dress/color. She has been looking so consistently amazing since she got her hair cut short, stunning, all day every day (even in casual clothes).
ReplyDeleteI think Emma Roberts and Liv Tyler look great. The standout for me was Miranda in that orange dress - it just pops onscreen.
ReplyDeleteI just don't like that DVF dress, it's like a shapeless tent. Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you're relegated to crappy dresses even when DVF sells them (yes I think DVF is overrated).
ReplyDeleteLiv and Emma Watson (my personal fave) really nailed it. They are both gorgeous and vivacious. I don't think that a dress or its accessories must be gimmicky to be beautiful. Both of these ladies are stunning without trying too hard. Congratulations to them and their stylists.
ReplyDeleteJ., that's why especially appreciated Jessica's look. I'm sure it wasn't easy for her.
ReplyDeleteTina, thanks for the feedback :)
ReplyDeleteI looked at (way too) many photos of the Olsen's trying to find one of Ashley alone, because I quite liked Mary-Kate's dress. Ashley's Chanel jacket didn't work for me no matter what angle the photographer used.
O40PQ, me too! Between the cut, color and fabric the dress is amazing. Miranda isn't bad, either ;) .
ReplyDeleteMiss Ali, you're right. When Liv gets it right she really rules the red carpet.
ReplyDeleteCarrie, it's something about Emma's personality and the way she carries herself. Another proof smart girls rule.
ReplyDeleteHDtM, I agree. Orange is among my most favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteEvelyn, we'll have to agree to disagree on that one ;)
ReplyDeleteEileen, agreed :) . Both Emma and Liv radiate that quality that makes me want to look at celeb photos.
