Kristen Stewart ventured far out of her somewhat grungy comfort zone for the world premier of Breaking Dawn Part 1. I can't say I'm a fan and I usually don't get her aesthetics (or taste in men); I wasn't too thrilled with her sequined J. Mendel gown, either. But Kristen looked polished and star-like on the red carpet and I liked the intense makeup and the elegant matching mani-pedi in super dark navy (Chanel? Dior?). Again, nota typical Kristen Stewart choice, and quite appropriate.
I still long for Buffy.

Vampires. Shouldn't. Sparkle.
ReplyDeleteI actually quite like Kristen Stewart's usual grungy style. Never dropped so low as to watch Twilight, but thought she was excellent in Welcome to the Rileys and decent in The Runaways. Don't think she should be blacklisted for one crappy role in a series of crappy movies!
ReplyDeleteDoes she ever look interested or interesting in any way? Make up can only do so much, and this time it is pretty, but it can't really help with dead eyes I'afraid.
ReplyDeleteWell said... I prefer my vampires not sparkling and with more attitude... and I find Kristen Stewart frustrating at best... but her makeup (for red carpets anyway) is usually well done in an edgy sort of way. This is probably because her red carpet makeup is usually done by Beau Nelson, the genius behind the Beaute brand and an amazing makeup artist who can pull off edgy looks while still keeping them edited and glamorous. I would love to rock this look! Gaia, have you ever tried anything from Beaute? Their Weighless Lip Cremes and Luminous Volume Glosses are some of the better lip products I have tried in a long time, and I would love to know what you think of them.
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty here. And those shoes are to die for.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Grace. :) I'd rather see Lestat flounce around the room. I love the shoes Kristen is wearing and the eye makeup.
ReplyDeleteThe look is pretty, especially her pedi with the shoes. Perhaps she's shy, who knows, but I always get the feeling Kristen would rather be elsewhere than on the red carpet.
