Kat Von D Out And About In L.A.

Apparently, Kat Von D is still a celebrity because I was just subjected to more photos of her undisputed sense of style. The above two are of Ms. Von D leaving Urth Cafe (a pleasant place otherwise, as far as I can remember), and here's a bonus one from last week, Kat shopping with her father. He must be so proud.

  1. The jeans in the second photo hurt my feelings.

  2. As happy as I am to see a woman who weighs more than 90lbs being considered a style icon, I sincerely wish she'd stop wearing so much of herself on the outside of her clothes. It actually reinforces the idea that only rail-thin women have good bodies. And yeah, trash culture rules at the moment... *shudder*

  3. You know, I can ignore the fact that I don't understand her aesthetics, being that each one of us is different and should not be subject to the standards and all, but no matter what, no matter your culture or your lifestyle or aspirations, that SURELY is not the outfit to go out and about with your father?

  4. I was about to say 'aw hey, cut the gal some slack'. Then I realised that the muffin top spilling over the jeans wasn't a jolly print, that's her tummy on display. I know Kat's body art is gorgeous but I am middleaged enough to shout 'pull your pants up; no-one needs to see that in the street!' at the computer screen. Well, it's what I shout to my 7 year old when her backside's hanging out!

  5. This is not a sense of style. It's a cry for a attention.

  6. Doesn't this say alot (and none of it good) about Sephora's business arrangement with KVD and her eponymous cosmetics line, which it promotes to death? Wondering if Sephora's also talking to Octomom about a product line as well.

  7. *snork*

All of you summed it up nicely. And I will leave it at that.
