Jennifer Lopez is in Paris for Fashion Week. She took her daughter Emme to watch the Chanel S/S2013 show (no words whether she exposed little Emme to Uncle Karl). An interesting "Mommy & Me" activity, for sure (don't we all wish?). J-Lo's wardrobe choice is somewhat questionable. Her white lace Chanel dress is a bit too much for me. I subscribe to the school of thought that you only expose one body part at a time, but we all know that Jennifer Lopez loves to show a lot of skin. The dress itself is cute but not particularly age-appropriate, not to mention uber-girly; that's not very J-Lo, is it? The cropped jacket is nice, but would look better on a slinkier more adult dress. What I do like very much is the makeup. The cat eye, pink nude lips (so much better than her usual dead beige!) and no bronzer(!) are very flattering.
What say you?

Her 15 minutes were so over 10 years ago. If we're still going to be subjected to her, she needs to change her look. It's old, Jen.
ReplyDeleteBTW 9and sorry if this sounds snarky), what's with "Uncle Karl" and "Uncle Serge"? It was funny the first couple of times, but now it's crossed into silliness.
ReplyDeleteHer makeup is nice but I agree with you, her outfit is questionable. I wish the skirt were longer, maybe to her knees. I think it would look more elegant and refined. She needs to stop with the uber-cleavage..we all know she has boobs, now put them away. And I think a longer tuxedo blazer, along with a longer hemline, would have made the outfit look very classy.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the dress needs to be longer. She has great legs...but she looks like she's wearing her daughter's dress! Too much.
ReplyDeleteI like the makeup, but the lipstick is a little too stark...it needs a bit more depth...it looks like the lipstick is sitting on top of her lips.
I think the dress is pretty but needs to be longer, don't care for the jacket with the dress. If the dress was knee length it would be more appropriate. I do like the makeup.
ReplyDeleteHer lips are starting to look like she's getting collagen injections.
ReplyDeleteAND she looks a little strange standing next to her young daughter in that dress!
ReplyDeleteI believe the British call it 'mutton dressed as lamb'
ReplyDeleteWell, I say if you can carry it off, wear it. JLo definitely has the looks, body, and confidence to carry off the outfit, unlike many of the overdressed, awkward, and graceless young women on the runway.
ReplyDeleteJennifer has the potential to be such a stunning beauty-but the key here is to keep it simple and subtle.....
ReplyDeleteI love her minimal makeup, classy and fresh.
