Jennifer Lawrence had a full day yesterday with a couple of Academy Awards events. First she attended the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel wearing a white Chloé Spring 2013 dress. Then it was on to the Hollywood Reporter Nominees' Night 2013 celebrating this year's Academy Award Nominees at Spago. Her dress for the evening was an embroidered Valentino creation.
Both dresses are cute and appropriate for a young star at these events, but the story for me is in Jennifer's makeup. I have no idea what was going through her makeup artist's mind, but the ultra-bronzed over plumped "nude" lipped look made me confuse her with Amanda Bynes for a second. That's not a good thing. Jennifer Lawrence looked healthier and much more like herself later that night sporting a bright berry lip color.
What do you think?

In my never-humble opinion, that nude lip thing doesn't look good on anyone. It's not like I'm insisting that everyone sport bold lips all the time, but even a light wash of =some= colour avoids that dead-below-the-nose look.
ReplyDeleteI think Jennifer's pretty face looks bright and joyful with some colour on her lips.
I actually don't mind the first look...but it's a bit too tan with too much contouring. It would look pretty if it were softer, especially with the white dress.
ReplyDeleteWow her hair is amazing on both looks!!! I like her natural beauty, I agree that the first makeup is a little too much for her.
