Emmy Rossum Parties With Justin Timberlake

Emmy Rossum made some bold fashion and beauty statements at Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience album release party last night. We don't see enough green smoky eyes and I love Emmy's version that matches her Topshop dress.  The touch of gold in the middle of her lid adds light and keeps things fresh.

The white manicure is hard to miss. It's a difficult color to pull off, just as much as very dark shades can be and requires perfect hands and nails. I think I prefer a less stark white, something like the shade Zoya named after me all these years ago (it's not completely opaque and has a subtle gold shimmer).

The white pump trend refuses to go away. I wish Emmy's stylist had gone with something other than this 1980s bat-mitzvah shoes. The match the nails, and Emmy Rossum can probably pull of any footwear in the known universe, but I still prefer metallic colors as a more aesthetic neutral.

  1. I love the green which is strange for me but yes, I'd pass on the white shoes...they remind me of my high school graduation shoes that were required to match my white robes.

  2. Teal green seems to be 'the' color of the moment, no? I think she carries it off beautifully.

  3. As we progress through Pantone's color of the year, we're undoubtedly going to be seeing more and more emerald eye looks. Unfortunately, most of them probably won't look as gorgeous as Emmy's. Although her look is very colorful, the MA showed restraint by keeping to Emmy's natural eye shape and the touch of gold on the ball of the lid and beneath her lower lashes was genius. That simple trick brings light to the eyes and gives a bit of relief from all the green.
