I'm on a kick to find the perfect orange blossom, and I do like Seville, oh, and I tried Madame Piguet (I think...), which is my favorite of the samples I got from STC.zzibbyzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13862559433424689635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27044110.post-1759663187049526532014-04-20T02:11:25.175-04:002014-04-20T02:11:25.175-04:00I love Elie Saab; the EDP and the EDT. One scent that replicates the scent of orange blossom perfectly is Eau de Cologne by Fragonard. My bottle is older (my guess would be 80s) and it's pure heaven, greens, dewey blossoms and earth all rolled into one little bottle.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04799815810869706346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27044110.post-17748512762192596712014-04-17T19:14:34.697-04:002014-04-17T19:14:34.697-04:00Thank you for your list. It is so authentic right down to that subtle touch of earthiness that you smell when walking through an orchard. There are hundreds of acres of citrus trees in the small valley where I live and, when the trees are in bloom, it is like heaven on earth. Jo Malone's soft fragrance is a nice recreation of that sensory sensation.Eileenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01591893495803781535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27044110.post-48998414310351879742014-04-17T11:22:17.417-04:002014-04-17T11:22:17.417-04:00Love those travel posters! But I haven't tried the Providence Divine yet - remedied that by heading straight to Etsy. Some other perfumes in this category (at least sort of in this category) that I've also been known to compulsively reach for recently are AG's Hadrien (so many memories), Charenton Macerations Christopher Street, SIP's Fire and Cream, FM Bigarade Concentree, TDC's Bergamote, MdO's Eau Absolue and Aftelier's d/ced Citron. I also have to admit that I really like wearing Mandy's single note botanicals (have been collecting them for years) and, more recently, aside from cooking with them, have started to actually wear some of her Chef's Essences either alone or layering them with other perfumes and the citrus ones are particularly wonderful to wear. I'm not sure if they might potentially cause terrible skin issues, but they never have for me.
Anna

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27044110.post-73497490878175074142014-04-17T09:35:35.510-04:002014-04-17T09:35:35.510-04:00Pure poison is pure perfection.Pure poison is pure perfection.LilJeJahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05755467701626794652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27044110.post-67984380106356467022014-04-17T08:51:57.492-04:002014-04-17T08:51:57.492-04:00I really like Alien Aqua Chic (2013- orange blosso...I really like Alien Aqua Chic (2013- orange blossom water), Chanel Eau de Cologne, Annick Goutal Neroli EDT (2007), Tom Ford Neroli Portofino (original, it was reformulated last year- not good). Interesting, though, what you say about having to be there - I feel that way about jasmine perfumes vs the actual heavy sweet-fecal scent of jasmine in the heat and breeze down in Menton in the summer. Nothing, no matter how well crafted, ever matched the feeling of being there and being enveloped in the natural scent. pigolettohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10071957333899162635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27044110.post-86702479928510293832014-04-17T03:08:30.970-04:002014-04-17T03:08:30.970-04:00I shall try your Serge Lutens picks, they sound in...I shall try your Serge Lutens picks, they sound intriguing. It was devastating when Mona di Orio Jabu was discontinued. And shoot me, but I really enjoy Chloe eau de Fleurs Neroli. I do not enjoy Tom Ford Neroli Portofino.Bellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01616405194976117346noreply@blogger.com
