Weekly Roundup 1/1/11

Happy New Year to all! This week's roundup brings you the very last beauty news of 2010, though some of us are still working on the year's recaps, so stay tuned.

I have enough hair to take Manhattan, so the last thing I need is more volume, but normal people will find this one very interesting: Kari from Fab Over Forty shares with us her go-to hair care line. Kerastase Volumactive has long been in her beauty routine. See why it's one of her favorites.

Charlestongirl from Best Things in Beauty is taking a bit of a hiatus this week, but she hasn't left us this week without a perk. She's giving away three (!!!) Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani Lipsticks. Sign up today to win one.

New Year's Eve is already behind us, but shiny nails are always fun. Sabrina from The Beauty Look Book shows us some gorgeous metallic nail colors. Also, she and Amy from Cafe Makeup have come up with a great idea- an open letter to their (and our) favorite cosmetics retailers. You can read them here: Sabrina's and Amy's.

Speaking of Amy from Café Makeup, this week she brings us Chanel's newest Spring Collection nail polish in Black Pearl. Will this new shade become another one of Chanel's cult classics?

Jane from Daly Beauty shows us one of her all-time favorite lip glosses that has beautiful color and plumps the lips. Now LipFushion is in pretty holiday packaging making all the more lust worthy.

A few weeks ago Debbi from Diva Debbi spoke about the popular non-invasive procedure Ultherapy. Now you can read her interview with Dr. Salzberg and view her personal results. Are you calling your doctor on Monday?

Jennifer from Beauty Xposé ends the year with her best and worst of fashion trends in 2010. Jumpsuits, sweater dresses... it makes me wonder what 2011 trends will be.

Maybelline has a new line of products called FIT. Kelly from Gouldylox Reviews bought the foundation and shares with us her results. Does this drugstore brand live up to her expensive department store foundations?

Stefanie from the Lip Print has some beauty resolutions. Do you?

Michael at From Top To Bottom has his own take about 2010 in perfume and I agree with most of his points. While you're there, also check his review of Histoires de Parfums Patchouli Noir.

Here at the Non-Blonde I tested an eye shadow palette that is as gorgeous as it is overpriced- Sisley Sparkling Rhapsody and on the other end a very reasonably priced and versatile eye pencil, Golden Triangle Eye Intensifier from Sue Devitt. The Edward Bess love continues with his Compact Rouge in Love Affair (Sophie had to make her mark there). Then there were a couple of Burberry pretties in Sepia and a very unique face brush, NARS Botan.
Perfume-wise, it's been a week of lists- 10 cozy perfumes to keep you warm, as well as ten perfumes that go with an evening gown (and five masculine ones, chosen by my husband). To end the year on the highest note, I participated in a cross-blogsphere event and chose my top perfumes of the year. It was fun.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, my readers, for reading, commenting and supporting this blog. I wish you a wonderful and beautiful 2011.
