Roxana Illuminated Perfume- GreenWitch Solid Perfume

Last year when Roxana Villa of Roxana Illuminated Perfume sent me a sample of her GreenWitch perfume I was immediately taken with it and quickly bought a bottle of this green magical potion. This year Roxana has added a GreenWitch solid perfume to her range of solid perfumes. It's a very good thing.

The solid perfumes look a bit waxy in the pan but warm up upon contact with the skin and melt into it without leaving greasy residue. They feel soft and pleasant when you wear them, which is no wonder consider they're rich in jojoba oil. From what I understand, the solid perfumes can be a great alternative to those allergic to traditional perfumes. I'm not, so I regard them as another way to enjoy a beloved scent. GreenWitch in its solid form is almost identical to the gorgeous liquid form. It's more intimate, though, and adds a new level of warmth to the green stems, sea whispers and sweet/salty goodness. It makes wish there was a matching body butter so I can just slather myself all over with GreenWitch and smell like I'm strolling a beautiful and empty clean beach wrapped in silk and thoughts.

GreenWitch by Roxana Illuminated Perfumes ($32, 5 gr) is available from the perfumer's Etsy store. Link provided for your convenience only, I'm in no way affiliated with the store and/or benefiting from it. My sample was furnished by Roxana Villa.

  1. I have yet to try any Roxana Villa scents, but now I really want to. There are several that I'm interested in based on the descriptions. Do you have any other favorites? Love her solid perfume locket, too. I've got a couple of DL&Co lockets like that (Jasmine Sambac and Tuberose) that I adore.

  2. I have yet to try any of her scents, but I was intrigued when I read your original review last spring. Green with a bite is just my thing.. even more so with oakmoss. I really can't get enough of it.
I am especially interested to read about a salty note, which I also love in perfumes. This is going on my "must purchase" list right away. I'm sure I'll adore it.

  3. Carrie, Roxana's creations are all worth trying. I think I like Q most. Or maybe Chaparral.

  5. Gaia-I LOVE the GreenWitch perfume! It arrived a couple of days ago and I've been wearing it ever since. It's a lovely green mossy salty perfume on my skin, my mother in law (who is not a perfume person) couldn't stop sniffing my arm! I live near the beach, couldn't resist taking a long walk in the sea air.

I also purchased Terrestre (love the dry patchouli/oud/galbanum note) and Cimbalom. Will have to try her other scents, she is a very talented perfumer!
