Paula Dorf Ecstasy Cheek Color

I don't know if Ecstasy is Paula Dorf's answer to NARS Orgasm blush. I can tell you, though, that while I can't wear the NARS peach bomb, Paua Dorf has created one of my favorite medium pinks.

Ecstasy is very pigmented. Seriously: this pan will probably outlive me. The color is rich and saturated, I only dip the point of my brush into it once for each cheek and that's it. I find that the best brushes for this Paula Dorf blush is either a Yachio or a very pointed one (Hakuhodo S103), as I can pick just enough color, deposit it accurately and then blend to perfection. The texture is smooth and soft with very fine shimmer that doesn't make my cheeks shine and doesn't show up as glitter particles- only light glow. Ecstasy blush plays well with other face products and stays on all day.

Bottom Line: highly recommended.

Paula Dorf blushes ($23) are available from Henri Bendel in NYC, Dillard's, pauladorf.com and several online retailers.

  1. It's a beautiful shade. I don't wear cheek colors, though because I always wear a darker lipstick and I have glasses - when I do cheeks I look like a clown! Love the look of cheek color on others though. Sigh!

  2. This is a favorite of mine, too--I've been using it for years. Sometimes I think I should swap it away, but I use it and fall in love with it all over again.
