Le Metier de Beaute Midnight Sky Eye Shadow

Le Metier de Beaute offers several gorgeous blue eye shadows in single form and as part of their Kaleidoscope Eye Kits. I own several and always admire not just the superb quality and gorgeous pigments, but also the variety and full effect those blue shades allow me to achieve.

Midnight Sky is the darkest blue in Le Metier's single eye shadow range and it stands out also when comparing to the dark blue tiers in the Kaleidoscopes. The one from Devotion is surprisingly more muted in comparison because it has an almost grayed purple base. Plum Sugar, the bottom color from the magnificent Splendid Frost palette has more shimmer and a very intense blue core. I would say that Midnight Sky is right in the middle between these two, so those of you who missed on the limited edition Kaleidoscopes might want to check it out.

The quality and texture are typical to Le Metier de Beaute, which means exquisite, smooth and silky. The eye shadow is easy to blend and use, can be built for a more dramatic depth but also used lightly for a polished everyday look. Christine from Temptalia also tested it damp but didn't find a difference (do take note that her beautiful swatches appear a bit more saturated than the colors are in real life but they represent the texture perfectly). I use Midnight Sky occasionally with Le Metier's Magic Luster cream for a glossy and intense evening look.

Bottom Line: Eventually I will own each and every color.

Le Metier de Beaute single eye shadows ($30 each) are available from Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and also online from nordstrom.com.

  2. Thanks for these comparisons. Le Metier shadows are so beautiful, I'm almost afraid to use them. In fact, I still haven't touched Devotion. And I'd totally forgotten about Magic Luster Cream. Perhaps I'll photograph and swatch this weekend.
