Weekly Good Reads

Best Things In Beauty has a preview of Creed Royal Service. She also just convinced me to buy the Dior nail holiday polish colors.

I get many questions regarding brush cleaning. I'm not loyal to any particular product, but after reading Everyday Beauty's review of Becca Professional Brush Soap I think I'll have to give it a serious try.

If I had any cheekbones I'd be all over the heavy contouring trend, as brought to us by Cafe Makeup.

Samantha Chapman of the YouTube Pixiwoo sisters released a line of synthetic makeup brushes. JoeyBunny reviewed the starter set in detail, including comparisons to other brushes.

Sabrina of The Beauty Look Book did some serious damage at Chanel. While I'm not tempted by even a single products, I can't deny she did an amazing job reviewing and swatching the holiday collection. I could look at her photos all day.

Li Wen takes us on a wonderful tour of Shanghai on Ars Aromatica.

On Bois de Jasmin, Victoria lists several perfumes that were big flops in terms of sales (and often marketing). They're still worth your nose and skin space. I happen to own seven of them.

  1. Thank you very much for featuring my review! I am happy to know that you enjoyed my comparison of the brushes.

On a funny note, I received some brushes for review today from a Korean company. I wonder if they'll be any good!

  2. Thank you very much for the link, Gaia. Shanghai is no NYC (and absolutely no appreciation for perfume), but it does have its own romantic charm, and I was happy to share that side of it.
