Lancome Eau Fraîche Douceur- Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar water cleansers are among my favorite products for a swift makeup removal pre-cleansing, for an easy correction of errors mid makeup application, and for a quick morning cleanse before starting with the day's skincare routine. A good micellar water removes all non-waterproof makeup without the need to rub and tug at the skin. It doesn't purify, deep-cleanse or slough off dead skin cells, so you can't rely on it for everything, but it's an indispensable product otherwise.

Lancome Eau Fraîche Douceur Micellar Cleansing Water is a good one. It's pretty effective, including for removing mascara. This Lancome cleanser feels like a tall drink of water for the skin on a muggy summer day, a great way to refresh the skin when coming home from the bug chowder air outside. This could probably be said for most products in this category, but Lancome to it to the next level with their packaging: Eau Fraîche Douceur comes in a pump bottle that dispenses as much or as little water as you want without spillage (you have no idea how much precious Bioderma or Koh Gen Do Spa Water I've lost over the years due to klutziness or cats). The bottle itself is very pretty with its embossed Lancome Rose, and comes in two sizes: 6.8 oz and a 13.5 oz.

Bottom Line: a travel size would be a perfect addition to the line.

Lancome Eau Fraîche Douceur Micellar Cleansing Water ($38, 6.8oz) is available at the counters and from lancome-usa.com. The product for this review was sent free of charge by PR.

  1. I wonder what's in it besides water. Sounds perfect to remove a powder foundation.

  2. On the pricy side but I do believe I will try it. I love the idea of the pump since I too have spilled some. The ones I've love so far have been Caudalie and Biotherm.
