Diane von Furstenberg for GapKids and babyGap

Regular readers know that I don't usually blog about children/kids clothes or anything that has to do with the oozing and trickling part of the population. But I'm also a semi-crazy aunt AND a huge DVF fan. Add to that the adorableness of Alyson Hannigan and her daughter Satyana-- I just had to post this.

Gap is about to launch its Spring 2012 collection by Diane von Furstenberg for GapKids and babyGap. Satyana's dress is part of the collection, and I already have my eye on it for my niece. According to the press release:
Gap teamed up with Diane von Furstenbergto create the GapKids + DVF collection exclusively for girls ranging from newborn to age fourteen, launching in US stores and US online on March 15, 2012 and the rest of the world on March 28, 2012.

...The collection features iconic DVF prints, signature silhouettes and a bold color palette...
Summer wardrobe essentials including easy t-shirt dresses, jersey tanks, graphic t-shirts, blazers, capri leggings and swimwear. The legendary DVF wrap is re-invented with a child-like higher waist detail, in structured cotton or as a jersey romper shape for babies and toddlers.

...Prices range from $20.00 to $120.00.

I love the fact that Diane teamed up with Gap and not with some super fancy/ultra expensive/less practical retailer. I just wish there was also something for boys, especially since my sister is having a baby boy this summer. Still, now my plan for March 15th is to see if I can find my almost 4 year old niece a dress that matches something in her auntie's wardrobe.

  1. Usually I wouldn't care about such things BUT I now have a niece that is now 3 months old. There is no way that I can resist.

  2. I know. Resistance is futile when it comes to our nieces. A cute baby in DVF=awesome. And I don't even like babies...
Seriously, kids are so not my thing, but my niece loves fashion, makeup and is already interested in perfume. How can I resist that?
