NARS 413 BLKR Blush

NARS 413 BLKR collection holds some of my favorite NARS products (see my reviews of the Larger Than Life lip gloss and the Multiple). It was only a matter of time before they added a 413 BLKR blush, which is what we have here: a gorgeous raspberry color in NARS' matte blush formula that is as pigmented as it is easy to work with. I think my swatch, done with one swipe of a small brush, holds enough product for seven faces. It's such an intense color, yet wearable when you do your blending right.

While NARS describes 413 BLKR as "rosebud" you can see that it has a red undertone, especially next to the equally breathtaking Coeur Battant (it was a limited edition from the Guy Bourdin collection).Since red is one of the natural undretones that appear in everyone's skin to one degree or another, I think reddish blushes are actually easier to pull off than many pink shades (the secret, as with everything, is a perfect base and good blending).

Bottom Line: Love. LOVE.

NARS 413 BLKR Blush ($30) is available from freestanding NARS boutiques and on narscosmetics.com. The product in this review was sent for my consideration by the company.
