Lana Del Ray Shows Her Talons

I loved all your comments last week on the pointy nail issue. Today my nails are in a nice shape and almost optimal length (at least they grow quickly), so tomorrow will be a good time for a nail polish review. Also, a reward to myself for being so kind to my nails, I'm considering getting a couple of colors from Paul & Joe's Kitten Collection. I loved what I saw in Karen's post on Makeup And Beauty Blog, and , hey-- it's all bout kittens.

Until then, let's look at Lana Del Ray and the talons she sported at a Guns N'Roses concert the other night. I'm not quite sure what I think of Lana Del Ray, other than that she's a pretty woman with a beautiful voice. Style-wise I guess we don't see eye-to-eye. The nails are scary and the cropped t-shirt with Frank Sinatra's mugshot is not winning any style awards with me.

Have you figured her out yet? What do you think of Lana's style?

  1. I absolutely adore her 50's sullen/upset baby-doll look that she rocks in her videos, I just love her iconography. Not crazy about those nails (or clothes) but she's very pretty without the makeup!!

  2. I think she's better without the weird lips, which I'm guessing were injections after all, and I agree with you. I don't know what to make of her. There's things I like about her style and things I don't. The nails are a definite no-no.

And I am having trouble resisting the kitty collection from Paul and Joe. It was the same with the Christmas Shu Uemura collection from a couple of years back and I resisted that one so successfully that I even ordered the lipsticks that weren't available in the Uk from Japan. Kitties. Too cute to resist.

  3. I don't know what to make of her but I've seen her with nice nails, and with tacky nails...

  4. do not know who said she is a spoiled, bored brat - I have no idea baout the hype around her. She has no style but is not that ugly or botoxed as I read. Is this enough though?!
