Estee Lauder Smokey Plum Double Wear Cream Eye Shadow

Look how pretty is Smokey Plum from Estee Lauder's Double Wear cream eye shadow range. It's a grayed and smoked purple with a soft shimmery satin finish, intense pigmentation and a light texture that still packs enough heft to stay put for about 10 hours (so far Smokey Plum has proven to be the longest wearing of the Estee Lauder eye shadows I have).

Smokey Plum can be sheered into a daytime appropriate haze or built into a dramatic smoky look. It's also a great base for powder eye shadows in the same color family or even taupe. I've tried it under NARS Lahsa and loved the result, so I recommend having your way with it.

Bottom Line: a winner.

Estee Lauder Smokey Plum Double Wear Cream Eye Shadow ($18.50) is available at the counters and from esteelauder.com.

  1. It seems that EL is bringing out a new range of cream/gel shadows (British Beauty Blogger has details) that suggests to me that these will be discontinued. I do not view this as a good thing.

  2. No more Smokey Plum... counters should still have it, but the new cream shadows won't have anything close to this shade. I hate when companies think they can improve on something. The new cream shadows are less pigmented.
