Aftelier- Pear, Fir, and Coffee Body Oil & Hair Elixir

Mornings are pretty incurable, I know, especially this time of the year. But here's something that can help: Aftelier Pear, Fir, and Coffee Body Oil/Hair Elixir. I already talked about the wonderful texture and quality of Mandy Aftel's elixirs here, so this is more of the same elegant nourishment for skin and hair. The story in this case is the scent. I can't say that I get much pear, but that's perfectly fine with me. It's the rich woody coffee fragrance that creates a feeling of warmth all around me and perks me up in the morning.

Now, I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love the way coffee beans smell. The ritual of applying this Aftelier elixir oil to my limbs and hair feels like frolicking in those coffee bean sacks at Whole Foods. It does wonders for my mood, skin, and hair in the morning, even before I had my first cup of tea. The fragrance is pretty strong with this one and it lingers for three or four hours, so do take note and choose your scent of the day accordingly. Hint: wood and leather notes go very well with Pear, Fir, and Coffee.

Bottom Line: a real treat.
