Currently- August 2013

Book
Yes, I have books. Now I just need to find the attention span to get into one or five of them.

Music
Josh Rouse- Julie

TV
Meh. Under The Dome has probably broken some records by jumping the shark in  six episodes.

Perfume
It's that time of summer that I can't get enough of Lonestar Memories. I've also been utterly taken with Skin Graft by Phoenicia Perfumes. But today I have a massive craving for Theorema. I'm about to decant some for a friend, so the plan is to drench myself in its orange goodness.

Makeup
Guerlain Madam Rougit blush. It's incredibly pretty.

Frequently Worn
A vintage belt over just about everything that needs cinching.

Food
Tofu. I'll take it any way, but peanut sauce makes me happy. Also, jalapenos.

Bane
Kosh and Cedric can't seem to get along. Poor Cedric has no idea that he's at least  three times bigger than the orange menace that stalks him.

Joy
Time with friends.

Anticipation
Wedding anniversary and a short vacation.

Wishlist
A trip abroad. Too many episodes of House Hunters- International are giving me an itch.

Random Thoughts
1. Perfumista Avenue? Are we out of NYC neighborhoods to trademark?
2. Honestly? I have better hair than Beyonce.

  1. Oh I don't know what to make of Under the Dome at this point. Madame Rougit, a lovely favorite for me as well. As for reading, can't seem to concentrate either. :)

  2. Book: "The View From Penthouse B," by Elinor Lipman. Shriekingly funny (as with most Elinor Lipman books,) and sharp satire (also as with most Elinor Lipman books.) I think it would be a great airplane book.

Bane: More month than money. I have a roof, and food, but that's it right now.

    Anticipation: Fall collections.

Music: "Kathleen" by singer-songwriter (and general good guy) Josh Ritter.

Food: My appetite is strangely missing. When it is present, I am content with smaller portions. Odd but interesting. Fresh raspberries are the only exception.

Scent: Vent Vert (almost out, alas,) or Profumi de Forte, By Night-White.

Gratitude list includes: cats, friends here and there, my overall ok health.

  3. Although we're trudging along w/Under the Dome (can a group of people be more unorganized?), we're intrigued with "Hell on Wheels" on Netflix.

  4. Book: The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking. Yes, Stephen Hawking. Really.
Music: Lots of upbeat stuff because I'm putting together a new exercise playlist. Love Daft Punk!
TV: America's Got Talent and Master Chef.
    Perfume: Issey Miyake.
Make-up: I'm enjoying my Guerlain picks--Madame Flirt, Madame Rêve, Madame Rougit, and Amber Silver.
Frequently Worn: Colorful, loose-fitting tops worn with capris and strappy sandals.
Food: Salads, salads, and more salads. Chimichuri spread on slices of baguette then lightly toasted.
Joy: My husband bought me a new car.
Anticipation: Waiting for it to arrive.
Wishlist: More time with my friends. Things have been hectic just lately.
Random Thoughts: I can't for the life of me understand why such a fuss is being made over Beyoncé's new do. She cut her hair. Big deal. It will grow.

  5. As for perfumes i 'm changing between Pupee of Mdm Rochas, Hugo Boss's Femme and Eau de Guerlain, Guerlain.
I am reading mostly newspapers online, i don't have the spirit to go into a novelle right now. Maybe later.
I prepare different cakes each time and i offer them to my family. I keep a little piece for me just to enjoy the "fruits of my labor". I 'm struggling to become a vegeterian but, really, it's a "lost battle".
I'm wearing the same black blouse most of the summer and i change only skirts, colourful ones. I combine them with black sandals and bangs. I love my green stoned silver earrings and i wear them often.
Bane: Really annoying neighbors to the point that i'm thinking of changing neighborhood. The only thing is i leave in my own house.
So glad that this summer wasn't terribly hot.
