Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector

Lancome Visionnaire  Advanced Skin Corrector was an impulse purchase. I needed a serum, Visionnaire was there on display, the tester was pretty and the serum felt good on the back of my hand. It came home with me.

Lancome's website and all the marketing literature I've seen so far promises not just the moon but also the rest of the solar system. As always, skincare is such a personal thing: some things work, others don't. In case the of Lancome Visionnaire, it works for me as a serious moisture boost that enlivens my skin on the sallowest days. It plumps and pumps it with energy even before my first cup of tea. As far as I'm concerned, that's some serious action.

I haven't seen a lick of change from Lancome Visionnaire when it comes to correcting sun damage; As for pore refining, my old standby No. 7  Protect & Perfect serum is still much better. So, if you give Visionnaire a chance try to keep expectations under control and see what and how it performs for you. I'm happy with the way it improves mine, but it's not the ultimate solution for each and every one of my needs.

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector ($84, 1 oz) is available at Lancome counters everywhere and  lancome.com

  1. Hi Gaia
The new Biomedic by La Roche-Posay works very well for sun damage. I'm surprised with the results.
    I hope this helps.

  2. I tried this and it felt too sticky and felt like the product didn't absorb into my skin very well. =(

  3. Yes, I think there's a lot of hype around this product. I can't help but wonder if it's such a retinoid-like product, why a retinoid wouldn't do just as well? Or better? With 20 years of proven research behind them, and a much cheaper price tag? Like other retinoids, I suspect this should be worn at night too, rather than during the day,(http://www.skinacea.com/retinoids/use-retinoids-right-part-one.html) but without knowing more about the magic LR 2412 I can't say for sure. However, I see that companies don't have many qualms about putting retinoids in day products *waves at LMdB*

  4. I was interested by Visionnaire's marketing literature and had just finished a bottle of No. 7 Protect and Perfect, so I gave this a try. Thankfully I only got the 30 ml size... after a month's use, I realized this was causing me acne on the chin area (and I only used it nights). It's kinda baffling, because I honestly never had this sort of reaction to a cosmetic before.
