Guerlain Fragrance Experience

Last month in Paris (has it already been over a month?!) when visiting La Maison Guerlain at 68 Champs Elysees, I discovered the old establishment added a new and very modern  pop-up store that provides a new and very friendly way to experience the perfume and the makeup. ‘L’atelier du couleur’ shows the color palette and make-up products used by Olivier Echaudemaison, Creative Director, and his team. ‘L’Atelier du Parfumeur’ is a lab-like space that gives a glimpse into the world of Thierry Wasser, Guerlain in-house perfumer.

Apparently, the people at Guerlain are working on bringing us more unique experiences, this time here in the US:
"Beginning this fall, Guerlain will offer customers a brand new way to experience this unique heritage and fragrance expertise. National Fragrance and Beauty Director, Marie Line Patry, will host exclusive Fragrance Experience events in stores, debuting a luxurious, bespoke Guerlain trunk that houses a complete fragrance experience within its walls.

The fragrance trunk is a multi-sensorial tool that will help bring to life each of the main pillars within Guerlain’s Exclusive Fragrance Collection. Marie Line can now take every customer on a journey to La Maison Guerlain at 68 Champs Elysées, through the brand’s history and deep into the legacy of craftsmanship and know-how that sets Guerlain apart from all other fragrance houses. The experience includes videos, music and elements that illustrate the perfumer’s inspiration for each of the creations. As each drawer is opened the customer is able to uncover an exceptional 360° view of the fragrance collection inside. At over five feet tall, it is a
theatrical experience designed to heighten the senses and enhance the emotions we feel when we encounter a new fragrance."

I've met Marie Line Patry on several occasions and was quite taken with the way she instantly pegged me as a big BIG oriental person. Not that it was any surprise, but still it was fun. Those who wish to experience can click below to see the upcoming schedule:

  3. How exciting that Marie will be in Sf in late October! I wonder what she'll recommend for me. Must make note to drop by my SF Neiman's to have a meet and greet.
