Butter London- Toff Nail Lacquer

Butter London released Toff as part of their fall 2011 lineup (it's a permanent color, though, so still available); yes, it has taken me this long to review it, despite  numerous wearing. Perhaps it was not the most interesting or original shade in that Butter London collection, but was the only one I knew I'd put to a good use. I mean, the metallic olive gold of Wallis is gorgeous and one day I might want it for a special occasion, but Toff, a dusty rose that leans mauve or brown (depending on the light), is my kind of go-to nail color.

As you can, compared to other much-loved shades in that ballpark, Toff is decidedly more pink than Parlez-vous OPI, and warmer than Essie Soiree Mauvee. Two coats give a perfect creamy finish that lasts a few days with proper maintenance and being mindful where one sticks her hands.

Butter London Toff Nail Lacquer ($14) is available from Nordstrom, Ulta and Sephora.

  1. I used to have a kick on this color family, I was driven to nail polishes and lipsticks of these shades, and this particular color is "sophisticated-ly" amazing :).

  2. Toff looks like my kind of color. I wonder how close it is to Aston. Or Revlon Teak Rose, for that matter. Looks like another one for me to investigate, thanks for the review.

    1. This looks nothing like Revlon Teak Rose. I own Teak Rose and it's a pink brown whereas BL Toff is a purple brown.

  3. Toff was my first Butter London polish. I love it.
