Butter London Scoundrel Nail Polish

A few months ago my local Ulta finally started carrying Butter London nail products. That was my cue to go nuts and add several new colors to my collection. Scoundrel, a 2009 release was one. It's a medium purple with lavender tendencies- you can see how direct sunlight fades it a little and brings out some pink tones (especially when wearing just one coat), but most of the time it's firmly purple.

The swatch above is just one coat, but I highly recommend applying two- both for color and texture. Scoundrel's true nature appears better when deepened, and while Butter London's formula is creamy and good, the end result is better and smoother with two and even three layers.

Bottom Line: love.

Butter London Nail Polish ($14)  in Scoundrel and the rest of the colors are available from Ulta, Nordstrom and butterlondon.com.

  2. I picked up 'Lady Muck' and the formula was terrible..I wonder if it was just that color now..wish they had testers!

  3. @Alpha Blonde It might be just that color. Butter London is a hit or miss for me. I've had immense success with a few and chuck-worthy bottles in others.

That said, I just ordered yummy mummy and Toff from ulta (and got fash pack and no more waity, katie gloss free - they're having a 3 for 2 on ulta.com). Reviews for those have been good across the board so I hope it shows on the fingers!
