Cotton jersey dresses from J.Crew.

The new Indigo eyeliner gel from Lancome.

Japanese roasted black tea.

Guilty Pleasure
Giuliana and Bill, the new reality show. Shut up.

Lower back pain.

A friend coming to town this week. There will be shopping.

  1. Heh. I guess we couldn't be more different... I'm reading the Bulletin of the British Society for the History of Mathematics, the drink is very strong Brazilian-style coffee, and there hasn't been all that much music recently. I don't know why the lack of music... but if there were, it'd probably be something like Angela Hewitt playing Bach.

But I do love my wife's home-made pizza, which also has no tomato sauce in it.

  2. Book
"geek love," a completely bizarre book about circus freaks that my best friend insisted i read.

    Song
i'll go with an album, because that's the only way i listen to music - little dragon's "machine dreams"

    Frequently worn outfit/item
i've been rotating through every summer dress i own. it's too hot for anything else.

    Perfume
i've been enjoying annick goutal's ce soir ou jamais lately - for some reason the heat makes the rose "sparkle" and less potpourri-ish. and of course i'm looking forward to un rose chypree :)

    Makeup
lash blast mascara. no matter how many $20 wands i buy, that stupid orange toddler toy is still the best.

    Food
    that pizza sounds delicious!

    Drink
massive quantities of water with ice, lemon, and a pinch of kosher salt. can't handle bikram yoga without it.

    Guilty Pleasure
spending an hour going through all 200 items in my rss feed.

    Bane of my existence
    boring office jobs.

    Anticipation
mad men for the next dozen weeks!!

    Thought
why is it the more i baby my skin, the more it breaks out - but when i pass out after a night of gin and tonics without washing my face, my face is glowing and poreless?!

  3. Fernando, you can never go wrong with Bach :)
Thank you for sharing. I love hearing what people are up to, especially when it's so different than my little world.

  4. K., I also have a thing for certain roses in the heat. You'll have a couple of other ones to play with in that little package.
I'm also on a serious Mad Man kick. Never watched it until this summer, but got the first two seasons on DVD. The husband and I are now in the second season and the DVR is taping the third.
