Tom Ford Beauty- Cheek Brush

I started warming up to Tom Ford's beauty line because of the blushes. Since Love Lust and Wicked have become dear favorites, I decided to go ahead and get them a suitable companion: Tom Ford Cheek Brush, as I've been eyeing and petting it every time I visited the counter. It didn't hurt that Gossmakeupartist reviewed Tom Ford's brushes favorly, and knowing these were actually Japanese-made brushes pretty much sealed the deal.

Tom Ford Cheek Brush is as plush as it gets. Everything about it is wonderfully luxurious, from the weight of the brush in my hand to the full head of ultra-soft goat hair that has the perfect bounce. It's a power tool, for sure, that only needs a quick touch of the blush's surface to collect the right amount of product and then apply and blend it beautifully. Brushes this good can often transform a mediocre blush into an almost ethereal wash of cheek color.

As you might have noticed, I have a fairly sizable collection of blush brushes in various sizes, shapes and hair types. However, the only other brush of similar thickness and proportions I own is Louise Young LY06 Super Blusher . All the others are smaller/rounder/flatter-- all good and I use them constantly with different blushes, textures and applications. Still, in the multitasker blush brush category (as Wayne Goss mentioned, it's also great with liquids, bronzer and face powder), Tom Ford's Cheek Brush is a winner.

Now, I probably like it better than the LY06, but mostly for the precioussssss effect. It's so ridiculously soft and satisfying. The LY06 is also a luxurious tool and performs just as well, so if you're on a budget don't hesitate to make the right decision for you.

Tom Ford Beauty- Cheek Brush ($75) is available from Saks, Neiman and Bergdorf.

  1. I don't have any fancy brushes so I think I'll save my pennies for one of these or drop some major *hints* for my birthday!

  5. What a lovely brush, it looks so perfectly marshmallow-y pretty!
Just a question, Gaia--how would you clean such a precious thing? Facial cleanser? A shampoo? I would hate to ruin such a gorgeous brush.

  8. I adore TF brushes. I bought the cream foundation brush #02, the cream highlighter brush #04, two large eye blender brushes #11, and this kitten paw of a blush brush. TF's cosmetics can be hit or miss, but his brushes are consistently excellent. He's created a well edited group of essential brushes of superb quality. Cheaper dupes for some of them can be found, but his blush brush is in a class by itself.

Wayne's (gossmakeupartist)review is a must see if you're interested in the brushes. He gives a nice overview of the collection.

  10. Is your brush the actual "blush brush" or the "Cream Foundation Brush"? The TF Blush brush looks tapered on the ends and yours looks flatter/even like the Cream Foundation Brush. Just wondering since I like the size of the brush head. Thank you for the info!

    1. It's the Cheek Brush. See the name on the box in the first photo. Bought at Bergdorf in May.

    2. It appears that the shape of the cheek brush was changed at some point during the first year after launch. My brush (bought in May 2012 in store at Bergdorf Goodman) is of the original design. I have not tried the newer one.

  11. How do you think it compares to the Haku 210 that's in your pic?
