Eve Pearl The Eye Palette- Ultimate Eyes

I discovered Eve Pearl's little eye palettes at IMATS, while testing the Salmon Concealer (review coming soon).  Eve Pearl offers eight combinations of her eye shadows, and I was attracted to Ultimate Eyes because of its versatility,  easy to wear colors and that jeweled shimmery green that spices things up.

The shades in Eve Pearl's Ultimate Eyes palette combine matte (off-black, terracotta brown, pinkish cream) and bold shimmer (deep green, peach, bronze) textures, are smooth, soft, and easy to blend. The compact is slim and easy to tote around, making it a great travel item, especially since it gives enough options for a casual/vacation look, as well as the obligatory smoky eye.

The colors are not complex or original. This is a basic palette that perform well and doesn't require thought or planning on how to use it. I have been playing with some mixing and layering, but this is not an LMdB palette, and it's not meant to be.

Bottom Line: a great gift idea.

  1. Hi Gaia,

I've seen you say that you prefer gel/cream eyeliners. Can you recommend some favorites? I'm looking for something to replace MAC Fluidline...not because of the product but because of a last straw experience after a long line of bad experiences at the local MAC counter.

I've tried Bobbi Brown but liked Fluidline better. Just tried the new Lancome and find it to be too dry and really hard to put on. I'm the age my eyelids won't stay still so that's a factor.

    1. I actually really like Bobbi Brown gels, but right now my favorites are the ones from YSL. Also Suqqu, but those have to be ordered from Japan, so not an easy solution.

  2. Awww, is that pussy's range of shades as well? Looks as though she is ready to try some on! Too cute.

  3. Thanks! Olivia gives a new meaning to "cat eye" makeup.
