New Guerlain Perfumes: Middle East Exclusive

The good news is that there are three new and interesting Guerlain perfumes coming out. The trio is titled Désert d’Orient and is very oriental inspired. According to Sylvaine Delacourte from Guerlain's blog, Esprit de Parfum, the trio, composed by Thierry Wasser, will include:

- Encens Mythique d’Orient (oriental musk)
-Rose Nacrée du Désert (woody floral)
-Songe d’un Bois d’éte (leather!!!)

And now to the bad news: I got an official confirmation from Guerlain USA PR department that  Désert d’Orient trio will not be launched in the US. How sad is that? Désert d’Orient series, which should be out any day now is a Middle East exclusive and will most likely also be available in Paris, as well as in Harrods at some point, but unless you or someone who owes you a favor is traveling to the likes of Abu Dhabi, these fragrances are not in our future.

  1. Ι've said it before and I'll say it again: I hate 'exclusive' lines.

  2. These do sound very enticing and its a shame they can't make these available. Unfortunately its a trend that shows no sign of abating. Should we blame it on good Uncle Serge, who possibly started it with his Palais Salon exclusives?

  3. I wonder if they will be at the Dubai airport? I have coworkers who go through there regularly... could work!

  4. I'm posting my thoughts of these three on BN in case you're interestedte.
