The Sound Of My Childhood Is Gone

Robin Gibb (1949-2012) and Donna Summer (1948-2012) were a major part of the soundtrack of my childhood. They'll be missed .

  1. Ah, yes. Saturday Night Fever came out the year before I started high school. We played their songs in marching band. Lots of memories associated with those songs. I remember Donna Summer, too, but her music was not as much a part of my life at that time.

I forgot how gorgeous Barry was! But Robin was always my favorite Bee Gee. I think it was his friendly face. I didn't know until today that he and Maurice were twins. I feel bad for Barry. No brothers left to sing with. So sad.

  2. I thought Robin was on the recovery path... but sadly not. :(

'She works hard for the money' is playing in my head now. I don't need to think hard to remember the lyrics and tune. It's timeless and still relevant today. Goodbye, Donna - missing you already...
