By Terry Terrybly Lip Pencil Red Cancan 04

By Terry Terrybly Lip Pencil Red Cancan 04 is my companion product to the By Terry lip gloss I showed you yesterday. You know that I'm a fan of good lip liners  for the sake of longevity and precision. Red Cancan (04) is the reddest and most intense of four shades in the Terrybly pencil range. I got it for use with the beautiful dark gloss, but I could have easily left the counter with all four: the nude, plum and rose pencils are a full wardrobe of wearable and flattering colors that go well with almost every lipstick and gloss I own.

The texture of these By Terry pencils is as good as it gets. They're creamy to the max without compromising resiliency and hold. The Terrybly liners can be used very easily all over the lip without pulling, tugging or drying, and look as smooth as a good matte lipstick. I do that and put the gloss on top, so touch ups are quick and only require a light touch.

The pencil comes with a nice By Terry sharpener, a thoughtful addition that I appreciate from expensive high-end products. Despite the creaminess and very frequent use, the pencil doesn't seem to deplete too quickly, so it earns another gold sticker.

Bottom Line: perfect.

By Terry Terrybly Lip Pencil Red Cancan 04 ($33) is available from Barneys and SpaceNK.
