Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes E113

Creamy eyes E113 is my favorite Ellis Faas eye shadow at the moment. The deep navy color is one of the prettiest I've seen, and the richness of the pigment and texture of Ellis Faas's Creamy Eyes range makes it versatile and easy to adjust. E113 in full intensity adds depth along the lash line but can be sheered into a light wash of color. It works for a smudgy sultry smoky eye, a graphic sculpted look or a very casual hint of color. Obviously, E113 can be used by itself or paired with just about anything. The wonderful taupe of E107 is my obvious choice, but E108 is lighter and very flattering.

Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes is one of the most interesting cream shadow formulas on the market. It has a satin finish with no shimmer particles, a texture that can be used as thin or as thick as you want it, and a whipped consistency that's achieved through the innovative siliconic wax and siliconic gel in combination with beeswax. The color sets quickly and stays put from morning to night. Nothing there moves (making Creamy Eyes a great base for powder shadows), smudges or migrates. I take it off with any good eye makeup remover, a little soaking can be necessary at times.

Bottom Line: as good as it gets.

Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes E113 ($36) is available from ellisfaas.com. The product for this review was sent for my consideration and review by the company.

  1. I love this color, it's so gorgeous! Our SpaceNK store still (still!) hasn't gotten a shipment of the new colors, I'll have to bite the bullet and order online. I love everything I've tried from the line so far, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
