Decades before the devil wore Prada and edited the September Issue there was Diana Vreeland. Her thumbprint was on many of the fashion and beauty images of the 20th century. As editor (Harper's Bazaar and Vogue) and consultant for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Vreeland shaped and inspired people's perception of fashion, beauty, art, publishing and culture. The new movie (coming out September 21st) Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel (directed and produced by Lisa Immordino Vreeland) is supposed to be an intimate portrait of this super diva.
